

She was born on December 8, 1921 to Antonio and Angelina Corriere.
She enjoyed watching and feeding the wildlife in her backyard, cultivating her vegetable and flower gardens, reading and Bingo. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she particularly enjoyed cooking for them. She was an avid bowler and a lifelong fan of both the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penn State.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Wilfred “Chick” McKnight; her parents; and brothers, Louie, Isaac, Joseph, Quentin, Frank, Mark, and Mike Corrie.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Janice McClain (David), of Pottersville, NY, and Karen Lankford, of Evansville, IN; sister, Lena Zielinski, of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Amy Lankford, of Boonville, IN, Christie Ahrens (Tom) of Brewerton, NY, John Lankford (Becka) of Defiance, PA, and Julie Corey (Doug) of Morrisville, NY; great grandchildren, Isaac and Rachel Lankford, Jack and Allison Ahrens, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Center for their care and attention. Mary appreciated the many friends she made among them.
