Gatlin it is so hard to believe you are gone.  We were best buds in high school.  From  our first job together at Village Green Apartments to parties at Savanah Gardens.  We double dated at high school dances, you , Jason and I shared a locker at Harrison.  Life took us in different directions but I’m so glad we reconnected in the last few years.  I only wish I could have helped you see a different ending.  It hurts my heart to think of your suffering and  I hope you are now at peace.  I will always remember you and the fun we had.  Rest In Peace my friend.  

Mike and I were inseparable in grade school and early HS years until sports, girls, life sent us different ways. We grew up together, learned about life, about girls, and how to have fun.  (Man, did we learn to party!) We shared so many memories as kids, we thought we were so grown up! There are so many funny stories, so many memories.  

Mrs. Scott,  I’m so sorry. I just want to say thank you. Thank you  for being a second mom and always opening your home to me. I think I spent as many nights at your house  as a kid as I did my own. Please extend my sincere condolences to his children and the rest of the family. My regrets for not being able to get to Evansville to celebrate Mike’s life. I pray that you all find rest knowing He is now at peace!

Life sent us down different paths after HS. I wish the path you travelled had been better to you. My heart hurts at hearing of your passing. Although our story ended after school, those years were some of the fondest (and crazy fun) memories of my life! You were always a such good friend. I cherish those memories. 

I pray you have found peace and that we will meet again in heaven. Until then, Godspeed! RIP

Gattie.... Where do I start....... Where do I start.... I do think it was Kim's living room.... Yes that's where it began..... We sang all night long... Until Kim appeared... Then we all three sang until Dawn..... 

I'm so ashamed... I never loved you the way you loved the world... We were tight.... Face down in the dirt.. remember 1000 Mary... YES Gattie Yes I was a bad person.... But I've changed. Its too late. ...... It's too late...

Our late night rondevous at my storage shed in Jim Town, just to fumble through our belongings. Wow we have been through a lot together... 

Most cherishible is when I fell off the wagon our last talk... You boosted me back up...on Oregon...

Who will I call.... Where will I go. You ment the world to me. I don't let many people in... You were one... Is Stick ok... One of the many questions I asked in our Sober talks.... How's Cass how's Addie.. wish I could meet them.. or Joe. 

I'm beside myself. I hope this memory is left alone. It is precious to me. And me one.

I believe I hear some firecrackers going off in heaven! I'll never forget how we almost lost our fingers and our hearing and still couldn't quit laughing!  We had lots of great times growing up in our neighborhood over the years! RIP

He was a true friend from meeting in high school till now.  I will miss his passion for music and his daughter.  Best memory is walking the river front in Newburgh just taking like old friends that never missed a few years in between reconnecting.

I will miss my sweet nephew.  While I cannot be there on Thursday, I will be there in spirit.  I remember when he and Cassidy  visited us in Hampton and enjoyed the beach and Water Country.  Rest in peace, Mike.  Love you.
