He was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Sherwood; son, Jason Schemm, both of Evansville; sister, Karla Texter of Kansas; brothers, John Schemm of Pennsylvania and Terry Schemm of Kansas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Hilbert. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
