Myrna E. Fridy

Myrna graduated from Central High School. She had worked in Food Service as a waitress and deli work. She was formerly employed at Schnuck’s and Citizens Bank. Myrna loved music and playing jokes on her family and friends. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Myrna loved movies, spending time in Las Vegas, casinos and horse racing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Richard Fridy, Jr. in 2005; son, Mark Fridy; daughter, Maggie Fridy; grandson, Tyler Fridy; brother, Robert E. Chumley; sisters, Judy and Janice Chumley; and her little dog, Precious.

Myrna is survived by her son, Michael R. Fridy (Amalia J.); daughters, Maria E. Mayo (Richard), Michelle R. Smallwood (Edgar) and Melissa R. Fridy (Carlos Ross); grandchildren, Amanda, Angelica, Arlene, Aaron, Addison, Michael, Samantha, Sara, Sherri, Donald, Dustin, Randalyn, Melody, Quentin, Matt, Jennifer, Lindsey and Tyler; numerous great grandchildren, brothers, Sylvester, Terry and Keith Chumley; sister, Donna Logsdon and her little dog, Princess.

A Memorial Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714, officiated by Fr. Ted Tempel. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
