Nancy J. Jones, 66, of Evansville, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1956 in Evansville, IN to the late Dr. Henry and Marion (Whitman) Leibundguth.
Nancy graduated from Harrison High School in 1974. She formerly worked at Duncan’s Janitorial and Carpet Cleaning. She loved her family very much, she enjoyed gardening, and her pets, Sam and Nick.
She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew M. Jones in 2005.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael W. Jones; sons, Derek Jones, Kevin Jones (Brianna); grandchildren, Dayton Jones, Bryce Jones, Max Shuler, Brody Jones; sister, Joyce Webb; brothers, Alan Leibundguth (Sandra), Richard Leibundguth (Barbara); sister, Susan Carpenter (Neil); sister-in-law, Connie Brewster (Rick); mother-in-law, Doris Jones; longtime friend, Karen Tenbarge; many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Bill Altman with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and Monday 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
