Patricia Ann Davenport

IN THE CARE OF
Alexander Funeral Home - North Chapel
Patricia Ann Davenport “Tricia” was born December 2, 1947 to the late Jim and Verna Girten. She passed July 21, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Tricia married Norman and they shared 51 years together, celebrating the 50th with a prom.
Tricia earned her Masters in social work at the age of 47 working in hospice settings. This was a big accomplishment but to Patricia her family was the most important.
Patricia’s hobbies were traveling with Norman, her children and grandchildren, and also gardening. The hobby most remembered by all is scrapbooking. This won her the volunteer of the year 2019 from United Methodist Youth Home.
Patricia is survived by children, Kris Adams (Larry), Frank Davenport (Amy) and Marna Long (Matt); grandchildren, Blake (Lee), Kenley, Jabin, Dalton, Mackenzie, Trevor, Jacob and Caleb; sister, Anita Nellis (Bob); brother, Mike Girten (Ramelle), and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband; mother and father; sister, Susan Krack; brother, Richard Girten, and granddaughter, Marrisa.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 at Blue Grass Church, 14200 Petersburg Road, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Youth Home. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderNorthChapel.com.
