Pearl L. Fischer, 82, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House. She was born February 16, 1936 in Vanderburgh County to the late Raymond and Lillian (Bosecker) Scherer.
She was a very active member of St. Stephens Community Church, participating in their choir, women’s guild and church council. Pearl was a 52-year member of Eastern Star Golden Fleece chapter, was a past Worthy Matron, served as secretary and was a former Grand Representative. She was also active in PTA and was part of the PTA Mother Singers. She grew up on a farm and helped the family with the farming activities. She enjoyed needlepoint and quilting.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Fischer in 2015; sister, Louise Roehr in 2017; and son-in-law, Wayne Williamson in 2004.
She is survived by daughters, Lisa Barnes (Andy) and Emilie Williamson; grandchildren, Deanna, Caleb, John (Emily), and Lillian Elizabeth; and great-grandchildren, Maryam, Noura and Nathanael; brother, Ralph Scherer (Diana); brother-in-law, Alvin Roehr, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00AM, Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Stephens Community Church, 12152 County Road 200E, Haubstadt, IN, officiated by Rev. Steve Oeth, with burial in St. Stephens Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 8:00PM, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road and Monday from 10:00AM to service time at the church. An Eastern Star memorial service will be Sunday, 6:30PM, at the funeral home.
