Peggy Ann Sloan

Peggy A. (Smith) Sloan, 85, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born August 5, 1932 in McKenzie, TN to the late Claude and Cecil Smith. She managed the gift shop in Deaconess Hospital for many years. She loved to cook, often inviting her family over for meals. Peggy was also a big UK fan. She was a good wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Johnnie A. Sloan. She is survived by sons, Johnnie Sloan, Jr. (Cindy), Donald Sloan (Patty), and Brian Sloan (Irma); daughters, Sharon Schutz (Bret) and Dee Sloan; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Ken Smith; brother-in law, Gary Sloan (Rosalyn); sister-in-law, Luella Skov, and beloved cat, Meco. A Funeral Service will be 12:00PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Alexander Memorial Park, Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Rev.
