Obituary of Ramona L. Sebree
Ramona L. Sebree, 64, of Evansville, IN went home to her king, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway. She was born on October 16, 1954 in Evansville, IN to Frank and Marjorie Sebree. Ramona graduated from Bosse High School in 1972, received her Associate Degree, and worked at Mead Johnson for 35 years. She was also the church clerk at Zion Missionary Baptist Church for 48 years. Ramona was active in the Southern District of the Indiana General Missionary Baptist Convention; especially the Three Big Sisters. She founded the Oakdale Reunion and participated in many organizations. She loved working in the church and had become a big Evansville Aces Fan. She is preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Otis Greene; brother, Frank (Seadog) Sebree; and stepsister, Carletha Grooms. Ramona is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver, Apryll Rankin; granddaughter, Kenyll Flemming; siblings: Deborah Sebree-Tapp, Yvonne Presley, Stacy Sebree, Stephanie Sebree, Lana Burton; uncle, James Sebree of Toledo, OH; nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted sons and daughters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 S. Governor Street, Evansville, IN, officiated by Rev. Dr. R.V. Terry, Jr. Visitation with family and friends will be on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until service time at Zion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville African American Museum for Disability/Health Advocacy programs.
