He worked as a coal miner at Consol Energy for approximately 17 years. After retirement from the coal mines he was a driver for Tri-State Brake and Driveline. He was a member of Road Knights Car Club and Crosley Car Club. He was a fan of John Wayne and loved western movies.
He was proceeded in death by his Niece, Eva Darnell.
Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Morgan; Sons, Richard W. Morgan, Michael T. Morgan (Dora), Jason C. Morgan; Daughter, Carrie L Morgan; Grandchildren, Derick T Morgan, Cassandra L. Morgan; Sister, Carolyn Cobb and 5 nieces and nephews.
A private family service was held.
