

Ricky graduated from Harrison High School in 1972 and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University of Evansville. A proud United States Army veteran, he honorably served his country in Korea. To his grandchildren, he was known as “Papaw,” and he took great joy in watching them at their sporting events. His nieces and nephews called him “Uncle Ick”. Ricky had a love for Bingo and watching sports on television. He held the distinction of being the longest resident at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center, where he made his home for the last 22 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ricky is survived by his sons, Cole S. Mosby (Michelle) and Jordan L. Mosby; grandchildren, Natalie Mosby, Michael Mosby, and William Mosby; brothers, Stuart D. Mosby and Kim Mosby (Eileen); nieces and nephews, Madison Davis, Makenli Cleek, Maddux Mosby, McGuire Mosby, Kathryn Caudill, and Nicholas Mosby; great nieces and nephews; former wife and mother of his children, Candace Nance; former sister-in-law, Dawn Mosby; along with his long time friend and caregiver at Cypress Grove, Mary Ann Harlan.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave. Evansville, IN 47714. Private burial services will be held at Alexander Memorial Park.
