He served in the US Army and retired from the Evansville State Hospital.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ficker; parents, Joseph and Barbara Ficker; and brothers, Carl, James and Charles “Chuck”.
He is survived by his daughter, Kris Crabtree (Bob Strueh); step-daughter, Robin (Mike) Dugan; step-son, Tom (Jill) Dean; and grandchildren, Taylor Crabtree, Sarah and Rachel Dugan, Morgan and Olivia Deans; sister, Helen (James) Wuerth; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 3:30 PM Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
