

Bob's parents, children and grandchildren were the most important part of his life and he called to check on them every day. He loved watching his grandkids play sports and enjoyed the family cookouts. Bob's love for baseball was instilled in his children, grandchildren and the many players that he coached. He was known as the “Mayor” of St. James Blvd., and always made his daily trips to Thornton’s.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved father, Carl Horstman; brother, David Horstman; sister, Cathy Horstman.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Lampton) Horstman; 6 children, Justin (Leslie) Horstman, Alyson (Lewis) Jones, Kyle (Kasie) Horstman, James (Amber) Horstman, Abby (Brady) Horstman, Anne Horstman; grandchildren, Brooklynn, Lewis III, Laken, Jayden, Jaysson, Amuari, Gia, Clare, Landon, Olan and Addison; sisters, Carla Miller, Beth (Todd) Travers; brother, Tony (Angie) Maurer; sister-in-law, Becky Horstman; Nieces and Nephews
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel officiated by Pastor Alan Scott, with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
