Robert William Kahre

Robert “Bob” Kahre, 92, of Evansville, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at The Good Samaritan Home. He was born on October 9, 1928, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Bernhardt and Amelia Kahre.
Bob graduated from Reitz High School. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. He served in the US Army from 1950-1953, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant. Bob was a Tool and Dye Engineer for 40 years, working at Kahre Brothers, Kent Plastics and the Ball Corporation. After retirement, he served in Laborers for Christ for seven years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy I. Kahre; brothers, Charles, Gilbert, Albert, Alvin, and Bernie; and a sister, Bernice.
Bob is survived by his son, Gregory A. Kahre (Janice); daughters, Wanda Kahre, Judy Denton and Dawne M. Fowler (Lance); grandchildren, Ben Kahre, Christopher Garrett, Deanna Koon, Stephanie Charlefour, Justin Gatewood and Megan Gatewood; five great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Hahne and brother, James Kahre.
A private Funeral Service will be held with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Bob’s funeral will be live streamed on Tuesday, October 20th beginning at 10:50 a.m. at www.facebook.com/funeralstreamusa.
