Samuel E. Toone

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, R. W. Toone.

Samuel retired from Bricklayers Local #1 of Indiana in 1987, after serving as Business Agent for 24 years.

He was a WWII Veteran and lifetime member of VFW Post #1114.

Samuel attended Heritage Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie J. (Frank) Toone; daughter, Anas Shanks (Ron); son, James Toone (Grace); grandchildren, LeAnn Shanks Hasker (David), Teresa Shanks- Thuerbach (David), Jeromy Toone (Shellie), Kyle Toone, Eric Toone and Donald and David Sherman; 12 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank St. Mary’s Medical Center and Angel River Rehabilitation and Health Center for their care and compassion as his journey came to an end.

Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Maurice Melton, with entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 12-Noon until service time at the funeral home.
