She continued working on the family farm where she grew up. She also worked in housekeeping for Alexander Funeral Homes.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Henrietta Powell; husband, Thomas Young; brother, Victor R. Powell (Janet).
She is survived by her sons, Bob Young (Cindy), Roger Young; daughter, Darla Perigo (Dan); grandchildren, Jeff Young (Megan), Matt Young (Junenna), Ashley Burns (Nathan), Natalie Young, Cory Young (Leslie), Lauren Perigo (Ryan Eichmiller), Audrey Perigo (Garrett Cadwalader); niece, Rebecca Ann Sitzman (Mark); nephew, Daniel C. Susott (Cindy); several great grandchildren.
