Sharon Jo Ford Cummings

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier and St. Wendel Catholic Churches. She was a big IU Basketball fan and enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Ford.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Cummings; stepson, Marty (Regina) Cummings of Evansville; stepdaughter, Michelle (Gary) Jones of Youngstown, OH; daughters, Kristine (Mark) York of Mt. Carmel, IL, Charlene Harris and her fiancé, Mark Glover, of Evansville and Jamie (Jeff) Neal of Vincennes; grandchildren, Veronica and Molly Cummings, Mitchell, Kolton, Morgan and Taya York, Blaine Davis, Hailey Harris, Dallas Glover and Allison, Haley, Chase and Cooper Neal; sisters, Sandra Martin and Karla Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Deaconess Hospital for the special care they gave to Sharon.

Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 18, 2013, at St. Wendel Catholic Church, 10542 West Boonville New Harmony Road, officiated by Fr. Ed Schnur, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street, and Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
