Steven was a graduate of Castle High School and worked at Pat Coslett, JB Jones, Lewis Bakery and Ameriqual. He loved his family and hanging out with friends.
Steven is survived by his father, Ray Hammers of Kentucky; mother, Evelyn Yelverton and Al of Evansville; daughters, Kali Crowley of Chandler and Natalie Hammers of Evansville; sisters, Deborah Roy, Teresa Vincent and Vicki Barnes, all of Evansville; nieces and nephews, Kenny and Danny Baker, Kendra Baker, Alisha Barnes, Jessi Barnes and Andrea Conder.
Services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bob Helms. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
