Susan L. Goad

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church – Madison Avenue. Susan was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She taught her four children to pray at an early age and was an example throughout her life of God’s unconditional and never ending love. Susan was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading a wide variety of books and traveling.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Murl Goad; and brothers, William, Elmer and Francis Scudmore.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Clementine), Steven and Thomas Goad; daughter, Karen Martin; grandchildren, Kelly (Brandon) Piorek, James (Beverly) Robbins, Amy (Terry) West and Kristopher Martin; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Margie Cotton.

Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Robert Schneider, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
