Susan Hottenstein Snyder, also known as “Mimi” to those nearest and dearest to her, at the age of 70, met her beloved Jesus Christ on October 21, 2021. She was born on August 29, 1951 to Earl and Hilda Hottenstein.
She married Norman Snyder on April 6, 1974. She worked as a speech therapist at EVSC. Susan avidly volunteered for many school and church organizations and groups. Her heart to serve others was evident in her generosity and the intentionality of her presence. She was very skilled in many ways, and by her simple acts of kindness, such as baking homemade bread and knitting gifts for others, the Lord used those skills to bless others He put on her heart. Susan’s contagious laugh and jovial spirit brought joy wherever she was. She upheld quality time with her family, and especially with her grandkids. And because her gentle and humble spirit was comforting to everyone she was around, she never met a stranger and had many dear, genuine friendships.
Susan is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norman Snyder; three sons, Luke (Bianca), Zach (Kellie), and Joe (Rachel); seven grandsons, Marshall (16), Wade (13), Lyle (9), Gabe (13), Crosbie (10), Hank (9), Jude (6), and one granddaughter, Tilly (8), as well as her sisters, Kara Morrissey and Diane Wolf (Mike).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Hilda Hottenstein; and sister, Jama Hottenstein.
