She graduated from Central High School and retired as a secretary from Wortman Electric after 17 years. June loved to travel and was especially fond of her Alaska cruise. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and birds. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gary, Robert, James, and Tommy; and sisters, Catherine and Babe.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Burns; daughter, Terri (Daryl) Wheat; son, Allen (DeLaina) Burns; grandchildren, Kimberly Burns, Katelin and Ashlyn Wheat; great-grandchildren; and brother, Jerry Driskell.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Phil Elikofer with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
