Velma Jean Timmerman

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and reading. Velma was a devoted and loving wife, mom and grammie. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and church group - Little Women’s Group.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Robert “Bob” Timmerman; daughters, Virginia James and Betsy Berning; grandson, Matthew Timmerman; and 7 siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Timmerman, Jr. (Tina), John Timmerman (Alice); grandchildren, Neil Timmerman, David Timmerman, Jennifer Remaklus, Betsy James, Julie James, Emmy Berning, Bridgette Berning, Annie Berning, and Bethany Pfeiffer; and nine great-grandchildren.

A special thank you to West River and Heart to Heart Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2023 at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN officiated by Rev. Cliff Herring with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may Visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Chapel.
