She graduated from Reitz High School in 1940, then worked many years as a bookkeeper for Krieger-Ragsdale before retiring in 1990. Virginia was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star #555, White Shrine, and was an active member of the Red Hat Crimson Violets.
Virginia was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Susan Elizabeth Curry; sister, Betty Jean Graham Pettus; and her parents.
She is survived by her son, Steve Curry of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Brian (Kim) Curry, Neil Curry, Pat Curry and Andy (Cathy) Curry; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Kelsey Curry and Cara Cole; sister, Billie Jo Graham; and step-daughter, Mary Angela Curry Tilley.
Funeral services were held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, officiated by Pastor Tyrone Edwards, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends visited Tuesday from 12:30 PM until service time at the cemetery chapel.
