Walter E. Pointer

Walter E. Pointer, 89, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. He was born June 13, 1922. He retired from Faultless Caster and served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. He loved playing scratch off Bingo, going on drives and was an avid gardner. He was a loving dad and grandpa. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; brothers, Clyde (Gene) and Herman (Dorothy); and daughters, Patricia, Brenda and Shirley. He is survived by his son, Larry Pointer; grandchildren, Larry Pointer II (Karen), Labreska Dillingham (Mike) and Kim Harris (Mike); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nathanial Pointer, Cherry, Shane and Gracie Dillingham and Jared, Luke and Brad Harris; and great-great-grandchild, Jaedynn Dillingham. Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 30, 2012, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jack Feldbusch, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
