

He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Korean War and was a lifelong member of Zion-Lippe UCC. His work career began at Nunn Milling and he later retired from Alcoa. Wilburn enjoyed woodworking, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Wilburn was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Niehaus) Dickhaut; grandson, Benjamin Dickhaut; and parents, Pete and Olga Dickhaut.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Warren) Evrard and Doris Strupp; son, Eric W. (Joanna) Dickhaut; grandchildren, Joe Evrard, Sara (Zack) Brown, Jennifer (Cody) Elless, and Justin, Aaron and Mackenzie Dickhaut; sisters, Aletha Meeks and Geneva (Tom) Upshaw; and special friend, Helga Beeler.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Zion-Lippe United Church of Christ, 9000 Copperline Road East, Mt. Vernon, IN 47620, officiated by Pastor Linda Nanninga in association with Rev. Kenneth Scherry, with burial in Zion-Lippe Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel and Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the church.
