William "Billy" Bachelder

William “Billy” Bachelder, 49, of Evansville, passed away at the Cathedral Health Care on Thursday, May 7, 2020. He was born November 24, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts. Billy had a love for life, nature and animals. He enjoyed hiking, football, baseball, bowling and swimming. He liked classic rock, westerns, and was a food connoisseur. Billy was an organ donor. He was very loyal to his family and friends, having a good heart and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Christine K. Smoot, and Dr. E. Brayton Smoot; mother, Martha Jane Smoot; and brother, Robert “Bobby” Bachelder. He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth M. (Bachelder) Wirick (Danny), Cynthia (Bachelder) Gibson, and Dee (Bachelder) Flick; niece, Audrey Gibson; and nephew, Blaise Flick. A graveside service will be 12:30 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2020 at Alexander Memorial Park, officiated by Father Jason Gries. Memorial Contributions may be made to Autism Society of Indiana or SARDAA- Schizophrenia and Related Disorders Alliance of America.
