
She was preceded in death by the great love of her life, Warren King, to whom she was married for almost 58 years. They lost a daughter, Peggy Jane, who died just a few days after birth in 1950. She was also preceded by her parents and three sisters, Sheila, Twyla and Mary, and her brother, Joseph.
Mom loved having her family and friends around and was the surrogate mother and grandmother to many of her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all of them. She loved helping people and was always there to help if she saw a need.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Joseph) Thatcher; her son, Warren (Teresa) King Jr.; granddaughters, Kim (Stacey) Gunn and Linn (David) Hawley; grandsons, Jeff King and Jaymee Croppi and several step- grandchildren. There are also numerous great- and great-great- grandchildren.
Edith is also survived by her very special friend and companion, Gary Roberts; and by two sisters, Jane Parker and Teri (Lyle) Jones; a brother, John (June) Roberts; brother-in-law, Max DeLashmutt; and two sisters-in-law Helen McCann and Barbara Beckley.
Edith served as the Auxiliary President for Everett Aerie #13 1983-1984. She also served as President of many sub-groups of the Eagles and was the current President of the REAC Club.
All Edith's friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service that will include the Charter Draping by Everett Auxiliary #13 at 1:00 p.m. on 30 October 2010, at the Eagle's at 1216 Broadway in Everett. There will be a potluck lunch following the service. A private interment will be held at a later date.
