Joan Frances Hopkins, born August 30, 1927 in Toledo, OH to John and Geraldine Spillane, passed away at home in Everett, WA on March 11, 2012. Joan enjoyed the arts, animals, nature, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Joan is survived by her daughter Gail Hopkins and her husband John Combs of Mill Creek and her son Dave Hopkins of Woodland. She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Spillane and both of her parents. A funeral service celebrating Joan’s life will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 12:00pm at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett, 425-252-2191. Memorials in Joan’s name may be made to the Humane Society.
