Alex Lakatos, age 92 of Fairborn, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021. A longtime resident of Fairborn, he was born in Holden, WV to Charles and Julia (Sabo) on April 14, 1929. Alex was an avid fan of John Wayne, but his main focus was on family and church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Helen; his parents; a daughter, Carolyn Mink; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Alex is survived by sons Al (Debbie) Wilmoth of Kelso, WA, David Wilmoth of Cookeville, TN, and Jeff (Denise) Wilmoth of Beavercreek, OH; son-in-law, Dennis Mink, Sr. of Fairborn, OH; grandchildren Aaron, Ryan, Amanda, Matt, Jeffrey, and Denny; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Alex's family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E Main St, Fairborn, OH 45324. A funeral service officiated by Rev.
