James E. Turner

James E. Turner, age 77, of Springfield, died on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born May 1, 1938 in Altro, Kentucky the son of Irvin & Sallie (Henson) Turner. He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife to whom he was devoted to Thelma, great grandson Shane James Jarvis, brothers John and Walter, and a sister Norma. James is survived by his loving family, daughters Linda (Dale) Damewood, Joyce Jarvis (Rick Howard), sisters Marie, Lilly, Geneva, Ella, Vicky, brothers AC and Hobert, grandchildren Heather, James, Jeremy (Laura), Samantha (Matthew), Eric, great grandchildren Madison, Aiden, Reagan, Ryleigh Anne, and several nieces and nephews. James worked and retired from Southwestern Cement (Cemex). He was an electrician, a builder, enjoyed gardening and staying active. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He will be missed by all who love him.
