

Larry Lewis Blazer, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away at the age of 89 on March 30, 2026. He was born January 25, 1937 to Lewis and Agnes Blazer and raised by his grandparents Harlen and Elizabeth Sanders in Fairborn.
Larry retired from the Air Force after nearly 22 years service with assignments around the U.S., Europe and East Asia. He returned to Fairborn where he worked for the railroad while attending Wright State University. He received his BA in Sociology and his Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling: Chemical Dependency.
He served as the Clinical Director at Greene Hall in Xenia. He also served as an adjunct professor at Wright State.
Larry was married twice, first to Clara Dinwiddie and then to Yvonne Baker. He is survived by his sister Sharon Sumners, his children Tina Gilbert and her husband John, Harlen Blazer, Larry Blazer Jr. and his wife Kita, James Baker and Charles Baker and his wife Andi. His 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren were always close to his heart.
He made many new friends at his last residence (Our Home) in Enon. He very much enjoyed the monthly veterans group meeting.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wright Patterson AFB hospital for their kindness, compassion and respect provided to our dad during his transition.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 Saturday on April 18, 2026 at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St, Fairborn, Ohio. Friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to service.
