Merwin Eugene White

He was born May 24, 1921 in Bloomington, IL, the son of George and Birdie White.

Gene is preceded in death by his sisters, Maude Conner, Mae Crutcher, Pearl Kluge, and Ruth White; brother, John White; first wife, Gladys Larkin; second wife, Shirley Eldridge; and special friend Dorothy Lane. He is survived by special family Peggy Pareseau (Bill), Daryl Lane, and Edward Lane, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and special friend Ida Giddons.

Gene lived in Fairborn for over 80 years. He was a member of the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II, and was employed at Wright-Patt AFB for 30 years before retiring. Gene enjoyed farming, traveling, gardening, eating Krispy Kreme donuts, and jigsaw puzzles.

A visitation for Gene will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio 45324. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM. A

burial with military honors will occur after the funeral service at Fairfield Cemetery, 720 Clover St, Fairborn, OH, 45324.
