Vera Gamble

Vera P. Gamble age 94 of Fairborn, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of Press & Serilda (Tomblinson) Taulbee on May 3, 1921 in Hardburly, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter I. Gamble on January 20, 1986; 1 son Charles Oney; 1 step daughter Wilma Grody; 1 step son Emerson Gamble; 3 sisters Nell Burns, Irene Stiles, Alene Jones, Elsie Sebastian; brothers Earnest Taulbee, Russell Taulbee. Vera is survived by 2 daughters Deborah Hill of Dayton, and Joyce (Staats) Edwards of Fairborn; 1 son James Gamble of Huber Heights; 1 sister Wanda Lloyd of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren Nicholas, Cameron, Leslie, Alicia, James, Kimberly, Ron, Darryl, Larry, Ashley, Charlie, Tim, Randy ; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Vera was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all of those who love her. Vera was a long time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Vera worked at Reeds Donut Shop where she made many lasting relationships throughout the years; she also worked at the Fairborn Bike Shop. Vera was most proud of being a mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Friends may call in Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 10AM-11AM, 1240 South Maple Ave, Fairborn, Ohio 45324, where funeral services will be held at 11AM with Pastor Arthur Casci, officiating.
