She attended New Cut Road Baptist Church and was a volunteer for the Fairdale Community Club. She valued family above anything else other than God, and helped raise most of her grandchildren while the parents worked. She and her husband were flipping houses before it was popular and moved the family quite frequently. She was a hard worker and loving mother. She will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.
Mary is survived by her children, Eldora Slack (Larry), Linda Tomlinson, Preston Greenwell Jr.; grandchildren, Kristie Shockley (Russ), Teri Nichols (Gordon), Leigh Anne Kleitz (Glen), Mary Trigg (Wayne), Mike Tomlinson Jr. (Missy), Charity Atkins, Preston Greenwell (Stephanie); 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mary will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 from 3pm – 8pm at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, Fairdale, KY. Service will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 11am with a burial to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery.
