
Andrew “Andy” Davis Larson, 84, of Maurertown, Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 29, 1941, Andy lived a life marked by devotion, integrity, and service to both his country and the people he loved.
A proud Major in the United States Marine Corps, Andy served with honor and unwavering commitment. The values he carried from his military career shaped every part of his life. He led with quiet strength, humility, and a steadfast sense of duty that inspired everyone who knew him.
Andy was the beloved husband of Marilyn L. Larson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen M. “Katy” Larson. He was the son of Tom and Hilda Larson and the brother of Tom Larson II.
He is survived by his second wife, Marilyn L. Larson.
He was the devoted father of Laura Larson (Tom), Amy Larson (John), Theresa (Sean) Peddicord, and Tom (Jamie) Larson III. He was the cherished grandfather of Erin (Joe), Patrick, Brittany (Sean), Alex, Jocelyn, Magnus, Andii, Rory, and Katy. He was also the proud great grandfather of Quinn, Chloe, and Jake.
Andy’s greatest joy was his family. He was a constant source of support, wisdom, and humor, and he created a lifetime of memories that his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will carry forward with love.
A burial with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 12, at 3:00 PM in the afternoon. Guests are asked to arrive between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM using the Memorial Drive entrance at Arlington National Cemetery. After passing the Visitor Parking and Welcome Center, attendees will check in with the guard and present identification. Due to current restrictions, only ten immediate family members may enter the administration building. All other guests will wait in the designated parking area until the procession begins.
Following the ceremony, family and friends are invited to gather for food and drinks at Copperwood Tavern, located at 4201 Campbell Avenue, Arlington, Virginia, as they continue to honor Andy’s life and legacy.
Andy will be remembered for his unwavering love, his quiet leadership, and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him. Semper Fi!
