Don Neese was the kind of person who was good to have on your side in life.  He will be remembered as a big-hearted neighbor who had some of the most interesting experiences a person could have in one lifetime, many of which he shared in his enjoyable and instructive memoir, which will be timeless along with his memory.   We will miss him.

Paul and I were so very sorry to hear about Don’s passing. He was such a larger-than-life, joyful man and I will never forget the day I met him coming towards me in his utility cart as my step-daughter and I traipsed across your 20 acres for sale - later to become our land. I thought we were going to be in trouble, but Don took us in hand and showed us all around his property telling us wonderful stories about the land and all you and he had lovingly done to it over the last 20 years. I wish we had been neighbors for longer than we were. Paul and I will always very fondly remember Don and the fun times we had with you both.

Dear Melinda and family,

Don was one of the first parishioners that reached out to us when we started attending LEEDS church.  
He was such a kind hearted man and extremely interesting to talk to. I would have so loved to hear more of his stories!
When he found out that John was interested in the Civil War he even offered to help him to participate in the reenactments. 
During the coffee hours he always had time for a chat and a kind word. 
I am very sad to hear these news and we will miss him!
