Liam David Carter Wells was born on August 05, 2016, to his adoring parents, Wendell and Anisha Wells. Liam, who was projected to depart this world within moments of being born, defied the odds. He was strong willed from the very beginning. He shocked his medical team when he not only made it through his first 24 hours in this world, but made it through the last six years.
Liam was a gentle giant, stoic and mild tempered. He was the blueprint that his brother’s followed. He opened hearts and showed us the power of faith and family.
Liam loved his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed being sung to by his mom and grandma. Liam loved bubbles, the baby shark song, the sun, and being outside. Liam loved spending time with his family. As much as Liam loved family time, he also appreciated spending time with his in-home nurses who cared for and loved him daily.
Liam passed away in the arms of his mother and father. Though Liam’s life was short, he was a professor and pioneer. He stretched the minds and hearts of all who met him. His life was full to the brim with love, kisses, smiles, laughter, and excitement. Our family was not prepared to lose our beloved son so soon, but we are eternally grateful for the time we were able to spend with him.
Liam was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David Crute (Papaw), paternal Grandfather Freemont Varner, and brother Jaxon Dean Wells.
Liam is survived by his parents Wendell and Anisha Wells; his siblings Devyn, Ryan, and Tristan Wells; his grandmothers Alice Crute and Phyllis Johnson; his aunts and uncles Malcolm Crute (Angela), Christopher Wells (Yosheba), Kimberly Wells, and Keithrick Wells (Tenia), and a host of cousins and extended family. Liam was also loved by many friends, family, teachers, classmates, and neighbors. Liam was cared for and loved by his in-home nurses who also mourn him.
We will love you forever. Fly high Sonshine and watch over us in Heaven.
