Marie Shaw Addi

Marie Shaw Addi, 90, of Fairfax, VA, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2014. Marie was born in New York, NY. She is the daughter of late John Thomas Shaw and Marie Anna Wolf. Marie was an accomplished painter, with numerous shows of her work in Waterford and Middleburg, VA. She was a member of the Northern Virginia Art League with some of her work still hanging in Fairfax City Hall. She is survived by her loving sister, Florence Nordone of Palmyra, VA, her devoted daughter, Gail Marie (James) Maume, of Roswell, GA, two grandchildren, Paige Marie (Stuart) Cunningham and Christopher Shaw (Rebecca) Maume of GA, and four great-grandchildren, Alexandra Blair Maume, Patrick McKinley Cunningham, Jenson Shaw Maume, and Matthew Thomas Cunningham. The family will be receiving friends on July 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Truro Anglican Church, 10520 Main Street, Fairfax, VA, with funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfax City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Marie Shaw Addi, to the SPCA of Northern Virginia.
