Mary Eleanor Perez

Mary Eleanor Perez, 84, of Burke, VA passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was born March 14, 1937, in Alexandria, VA to the late John and Helen Hobeck. Her greatest joy was her 12 grandchildren. She spent her weekends traveling to the ends of the earth to support all their events. She is survived by her sister Joan Harnitchek-Wood of San Antonio, Tx. Her three children David Perez, Michael Perez (Denise) and Maria Spitz (Steven). Her grandchildren Christine, Jordon, Michael, Gabriel, Maya, Grace, Alyson, Joseph, Caroline, Jonathan and Joshua. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Perez and grandson Robert Steven Barone Perez. The service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 29, at St. Mary’s of Sorrows Catholic Church, 10500 Zion Drive, Fairfax, VA 22032. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
