

Born in Richmond, Virginia, Susan was the daughter and apple of the eye of Daniel Alphonso and Helen Lorene Lisle Robinson. Susan is survived by her children Rick (Amy), and Lori, sister-in-law Barbara, her grandchildren Nick, Mandy, Joe, Claire, and Mike, great grandchild Reid, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Susan was also predeceased by her brother Daniel Alphonso Jr. (Danny/Bud), her former husband Richard Frank, her great aunt Mary Clementine Lisle and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Susan graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and achieved a near perfect math SAT score prior to the use of SAT preparation and review courses. She was employed at Life of Virginia and worked as an actuary.
Susan was a member of Fairfax Presbyterian Church and the Society of Actuaries. Susan was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also enjoyed volunteering with Life with Cancer at INOVA Fairfax, participating in church activities (Circle), volunteering as a summer league swim meet official, Girl Scout troop leader, and attending family reunions. Susan was a lifelong learner. She enjoyed genealogy, arts and crafts, and baking desserts (especially those with pecans)!!
The graveside service will be held on April 16th, 2026, at 1pm at Hollywood Cemetery, 412 S Cherry St, Richmond, VA.
