Theresa B Smith

Theresa (Terry) B. Smith, 82, of Warrenton, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, VA. She was the beloved wife of William A. Smith; mother of Mark J. Smith of Haymarket, VA, and Ruth M. Van Dyke of Nokesville, VA; and grandmother of Kyle and Tessie Van Dyke of Nokesville, VA. Terry is also survived by brothers, Louis Busits of Deltona, FL, and Frank Busits of Las Vegas, NV; and sister, Helen Bushspies of Northampton, PA. Terry was a member of the Fairfax Host Lions Club for over 30 years. She retired from the Department of Defense as Editor in Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1987. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 pm with a Lions Memorial Service and Prayer Service at 4:00 pm, at the Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main St, Fairfax, VA 22030. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 10, 2014, at 11:00 am, at St. Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church, 271 Winchester St, Warrenton, VA 20186, with interment following at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fairfax Host Lions Club or St. Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church, Warrenton, VA.
