Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Alfred and Jane (Haywood) St. Pierre, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life. She was a seamstress for many years. She was happiest when surrounded by family. She enjoyed knitting, jigsaw puzzles and most of all winning a good card game.
Doris is survived by three daughters, Carol Pereira of Florida, Robin Claflin of Fairhaven and Tina LaFountain of Fairhaven; two brothers, Red St. Pierre of Dartmouth and Steve St. Pierre of New Bedford; Ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is the mother of the late Raymond Slowik, mother in-law of Jill Slowik, the late Brett Claflin and the late Joseph Pereira. She was the oldest sister of Irene, Robert, Jeanette, Rita, Danny, and David whom she has missed for many years.
Her service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 Temple Place, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Arrangements are in the care of WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
