In addition to his wife he leaves 2 daughters: Paula R. Jardin and her husband Ronald of Acushnet and Leslie J. Mello of Dartmouth; 1 son: Ted DaCosta and his wife Kelly A. of Dartmouth; 7 Grandchildren: Ian Jardin, Andrew and Alexander Mello, Audrey Rodrigues, Zachary, Matthew and Jacob DaCosta; 1 Great Granddaughter: Harper Lily Mello; 2 Brothers: John Costa and his wife June of Marion and Francis DaCosta of Wilmington, DE; 1 sister: Theresa Fisher and her husband Brian of Newark, DE. He was also the brother of the late Robert DaCosta and Mary Duffy.
