Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Roger W. Jason and the late Jeannine M.M. (Zuede) Jason, she spent most her life in Fairhaven and was a graduate of Fairhaven High School.
Mrs. Poirier was employed as a Nurse’s Aide for several nursing facilities in Fairhaven for many years before her retirement. She had survived a twenty four year battle with cancer.
She is survived by: two daughters, Heidi-Lee Desroches and Melissa-Jean Talbot both of New Bedford; two brothers, Jean A. Jason of Wareham and Jeffrey Jason of Fairhaven; five grandchildren, Tyler J. Carey, Paul E. Talbot III, Edward H. Johnson II, Christopher M. Johnson and Kyle A. Johnson; two great grandchildren Michael and Landon Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
Her private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn.
