

Loretta P. “Cookie” (Dias) Warwick, 86, of Fairhaven, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Sippican Healthcare in Marion. Loretta was the wife of the late William C. “Red” Warwick, Sr. with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Manuel J. and Nora Marie Anne (Nadeau) Dias, she had resided in New Bedford for many years before moving to Fairhaven in 1995.
Cookie worked at Aerovox in New Bedford for over 50 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Warwick loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored. She was a wonderful cook who hosted many holiday gatherings with her family. She enjoyed watching movies, especially going to the movie theater. She enjoyed family times at the beach and Brooklawn Park. Cookie enjoyed the company of her friends at Honey Dew Donuts.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gail M. Lyonnais of New Bedford, Linda A Girard and her husband Mark of Fairhaven, and her son, William C. Warwick, Jr. and his fiancée, Darlene Shepardson of Fairhaven; one brother, Terrance Dias (Joann) of New Bedford; two sisters, Claire Fournier (Norman) of New Bedford and Marilyn Skypeck (Stanley) of Acushnet; seven grandchildren, Casey Lafferty and her husband Jeremy, Richard Warwick, William C. Warwick, III, Joseph Warwick, Jessica Warwick, Jacob Girard and Thomas Girard; seven great-grandchildren, Kendell Chase, Logan and Owen Lafferty, Aiden Warwick, Madyson Warwick, Wesley Warwick and Waylon Warwick; cousins; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Roland J. Lyonnais.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 8-10:30am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, 440 Main St., Fairhaven. Masks are required to attend services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
