

Alma was a jewel to all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team play, the Chicago Cubs, especially getting the chance to see them win a world series, playing bingo and had a creative niche for quilting. Alma was passionate about taking care of her family and home, in which she took the utmost pride in. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph Hatzl; her daughter, Debbie Landberg; her parents, John and Martha Jenny (nee Petricot) Matt; her siblings, Emil, Ewald, Olga, Annie, Martha, Emma, Bertha and Lena.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children; Joseph (Pat) Hatzl, Daniel (Donna) Hatzl, John (Leslie) Hatzl, Jolene (Edward) Bour, and Almie Gundlach; 14 grandchilren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; her son-in-law, Steve Landberg; her special niece, Donnie Hammond and a number of dear relative and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 pm to 8 pm Friday, April 7, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral Service: All services will be held at 11 am the following day, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
