Bill J. Kelso

Bill loved sports, especially baseball and was very active with his two boys through Khoury League to high school ball. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He also enjoyed playing golf, softball, and going bowling and fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; they were his world and they absolutely adored their pa-pa. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; who will be sorely missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Bud” and Ruth, nee Guetterman, Kelso.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 33 years, Denise Kelso, nee Kassing, of Belleville, Illinois; his two sons, Curtis (Desiree) Kelso, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana and Ryan Kelso, of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Teagan, Hadley, Sawyer, and Lawson; his siblings, Gary Kelso, of Belleville, Ill., Rick (Colleen) Kelso, of Belleville, Ill., Sandy (Dan) Disterhaupt, of Foley, Missouri, Jim (Karen) Kelso, of Belleville, Ill., and Jerry Kelso, also of Belleville, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Wallace officiating. Interment will be held privately.
