Bob C. Norman

Bob was the owner of Norman’s Confectionery in Cahokia from 1961 to 1984, Norman’s Family restaurant, also in Cahokia, from 1984 to 1996, and the Country Inn Restaurant in Gerald, Missouri, from 1990 to 1992. He was an avid card player, especially poker. He was a hard working family man; who will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Norman, nee Layne, in 1963; his second wife, Sharon Norman, nee Duncan, in 2012; his parents, Lloyd and Martha, nee Jordan, Norman; his step-daughter, Pamela Tilley, nee Martin; a son-in-law, Mike Sitzes; and his seven siblings, Artie Norman, Jesse Norman, Ethel Jackson, Albert “Boots” Norman, Lloyd Norman, Jr., Robert Leo Norman, and Bertha McBride.

Surviving are his daughters, Pamela (Dennis) Rensing, of New Baden, Illinois and Sonia Sitzes, of Cahokia, Illinois; his seven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
