

Buddy graduated from Collinsville High School and began her career working First National Bank of East St. Louis, working her way up through a number of job titles. She became the secretary for the Caseyville Township Community Credit Union in 1965 which she held for 48 years. She also was a secretary with Illini and Grant School District 110. She was an active member of St. John United Church of Christ, Fairview Heights, Illinois. She was a former Cub Scout leader and PTA member and officer for School District 110. She enjoyed music and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan; amazing family and friends with her knowledge of the game. Buddy’s proudest and happiest moments came spending time with or talking about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert P. Hagely, Sr.; her parents, Emmett and Katherine, nee Kolb, Hamilton; her in-laws, Herbert V. and Elvera Hagely; a brother, Emmett K. Hamilton; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph Nunez, Marjorie (Hank) Baumgarten, Lawrence (Grace) Hagely, Lorraine (John) Kanka, and John Baum.
Surviving are her children, Karen (Mike) Westerheide, of Millstadt, Illinois, Jill (Dan) Becker, of Jackson, Missouri, Phil (Tammy) Hagely, of Waterloo, Illinois, Nancy (Brad) Dinges, of Waterloo, Illinois, and Gary (Bonita) Hagely of O’Fallon, Missouri; her grandchildren, Macaela (Matt) Verett, Lance (Lisa) Morgan, Keyla (Josh) Gertz, Kelly (Lonnie) Huffman, Lauren (Reggie) Ardis, Michelle Westerheide, Brian (Kourtnie) Westerheide, Nikki (Brian) Lilja, Herbie (Kristen Lombardo) Hagely, Stefanie (Mike) Liddy, Tiffany Battin, Perry Battin, Kaitlan Dinges, Justine (David) Atteberry, Jared Hagely, Jeramy Hagely, and Joel Hagely; great grandchildren, Kimberly Presson, Devon Ardis, Victoria Huffman, Tober Gertz, Lyric Gertz, Samuel Westerheide, Stanley Atteberry, Jet Lilja, and three more arriving soon; her siblings, Billie (Don) Eccher, Shari Hamilton, Verna Nunez, Ernie Hamilton, Ronald (Carla) Hamilton, Ross (Glenna) Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Juanita Baum; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends at St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Nolan officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
