Charles E. Haney Sr.

Charles was a member of Swansea Baptist Church. He worked for Shop-n-Save in Belleville, for ten years. He also volunteered his time at Memorial Hospital, and had a passion for classic cars. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; who will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie E. and Dorothy E., Brown, Haney; a son, Timothy Lee Haney; a brother, Ellis Haney; and a sister, Viola Mehrtens.

Surviving are his loving wife, Barbara Haney, nee Luffman; a son, Charles E. (Audrey Warren) Haney, Jr.; two grandchildren, Bradly and Zachary; a brother, Melvin (Jackie) Haney; two sisters, Bertha (Lester) Hoerig and Lulu (Bill) Sullivan; sisters-in-law, Louise Wilson, Marjorie (Don) Wilson, Anita (Darrell) Robinson, and Cindy (Jim Outland) Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Wilson Wickiser officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
